We offer individual therapy in person, telephonic or WhatsApp call, or video calling such as WhatsApp, skype and zoom depending on the client’s preference. We treat clients with sensitivity and confidentially, ensuring that services rendered are tailor-made for the individual needs. Our psychologists mainly work from a CBT and psychodynamic approach. Individual sessions are 50 minutes long but can be extended to 60 minutes depending on the client’s needs, provided time is available. Individual therapy sessions are conducted in English, Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele, Swati, Sotho, Tswana, Pedi or Shona. The understanding and integration of African cultural believes in therapy sessions foster rapport with clients whilst enhancing efficacy in the achievement of therapeutic goals. We strive to achieve therapeutic goals and returning the client to optimal functioning in an efficient and effective way by utilising as few sessions as possible to resolve the client’s presenting problems. As mental health services are multi-disciplinary, our office has an extensive referral network that includes psychiatrists, general practitioners, gynaecologists, physiotherapist, and other allied health professionals.
